The aims of this course are threefold: to stimulate an understanding of the current state of global information systems in terms of their development, their capability, and their role in corporate and government strategy; to explain what global information systems are in terms of theory and practice; to give a foundation for the appreciation of how new types of information system will be likely to influence and change global business practices.
