鼓励学生发现必要的法律知识，以处理网络商业和工业事项所产生的问题；鼓励学生批判性地思考法律与互联网活动所产生的各种问题之间的联系；使学生有能力在互联网上发生的活动中适用普通法原则和立法，作为法律顾问为网络工业和商业事业提供指导和咨询，并了解有关香港未来发展网络法的关键问题。

encourage students to discover the necessary legal knowledge to deal with issues arising from cyber commercial and industrial matters; encourage students to critically think about the connection between the law and various issues arising from internet activities; equip students with the ability to apply both common law principles and legislation in relation to activities that occur on the Internet provide guidance and advice as legal consultants to cyber industrial and commercial undertakings and to be aware of the key issues relating to the future development of cyber law in Hong Kong
