This course aims to: (i) build on the student's knowledge of arbitration by providing a thorough understanding of the special character and particular issues of international commercial arbitration; (ii) acquaint the student with the important institutional structures and rules for international arbitration; and (iii) provide a comparative examination of the relevant laws, institutions, rules and practices in common law and civil law jurisdictions.
